19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent the Russian player won his initial title for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid season, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in especial - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and ultimately splitting with long-term trainer Cervara.
Now training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Moutet.
This represents his first championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since March of 2023.
Success also indicates the Russian has secured 21 titles at twenty-one different events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a championship is really nice," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, featuring in that event in the past months.
The player's retrieving strategy and recurring outbursts on court had caused observers to question if his ability to compete at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and play positively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five points to take the lead.
Both players swapped breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his first professional title, took control to push for a decider.
He defended 4 early chances in a competitive deciding set before the Russian broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, he clinched the title with a point at the net, with his opponent failing to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
